MorphWiz App Reviews

You can tell that a performing musician had a lot of input into this app. It has synthesized sounds, and theyre really nice sounds, customizable all sorts of ways. But MorphWiz is all about the interface, baby ... its like a magical little stringed instrument sitting there in your lap, really easy to pour your expressiveness through your finger tips into the iPad. I was a professional violinist before I went digital, and MorphWiz and GeoSynth, each in its own way, give me more of the tactile connection to the iPad than any other app. Its all about the experience of making the music and not letting anything else get in the way. I was a little offput at first by the eye candy aspect of this app .. the swirly colors and animated effects ...but I went from ignoring them to really getting into them ... its another way of involving me at a visceral level in the musicifying thats going on between me and the instrument.

Love all of your apps. PLEASE see what can be done to add all of them to the list of GARAGEBAND compatible Inter-App Audio Apps...pretty please...with sugar on top? Jim (not a wizard, just whizzing)

Ill update review when the app actually downloads and I get to use it.. I bought 2 days ago, but it still will not download. No problems with any other app

One of the best music apps EVER, stuck in 2011! Come on guys update this to modern app standards and technology!

Sound is useless and there is no variety. App appears to be abandoned... No updates ever. Mr Rudess appears to be trading on his name as usual. A huckster more than musician apparently.

I cant find the midi exactly Itd be appreciated if it was made clearer Though I love this otherwise. Id just like to control other synths with this

Im usually long-winded but just dont have much to say about MorphWiz. Its an older app, and I know that Jordans apps were pioneering when they first came out. But compared something like ThumbJam or the many synthesizer apps available now, I just didnt find the control scheme or soundbank to be all that inspiring. The best feature is probably the control you have over effects (like the repeat/hold freeze, which is cool). But Im just not finding as much use for the app as I had hoped.

If you want to play a blues that never misses... try this app on "G Man Blues!" You can have three and four-fingered chords, a wild lead guitar, walk down a bass line... and learn the principle of bunching and spreading chord inversions across as many octaves as you want. The visual animation displays are just entertaining enough to give kids a sense of power - like flying Dr Whos Tardus! But Jordan gives enough different keys and modes - with color codes and note identification- to make this a teaching tool for kids.

I love the sounds here. Lots of presets and definitely some I recognize from your work, Mr. Rudess! All of your apps provide a new creative platform that inspire me to revisit all chords and scales in a different light. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! -Brendan Hasson

Been doing music almost 20 years best sound device on here hands down!! Next in line is the korg ikaossilator then propellerheads figure. But i was shocked by the amount of sound capability your given here, and its mostly touch screen so your not limited at all. If you have any creative ability youll be fine!!! And i never leave reviews.
